Donations for Ian Malesiewski

Dear Highmark QUAD Participant,

Some of you may have heard the news of Ian Malesiewski, a sophomore at Cathedral Prep who suffered a traumatic spinal injury on June 3rd at a wrestling tournament. I don’t know Ian personally but his mother, Halli Reid is the Head Swimming Coach and Aquatics Director at Mercyhurst North East.  She has been an amazing point of contact for the QUAD Run since it was moved to North East.  She helped Craig set up contacts in the area and acted as a super volunteer on race day.  She has continued doing this since I took over the Games. The QUAD Run wouldn’t be what it is without her and I would like to help support her and her family during this difficult time.

At the QUAD Bike and QUAD Run events we will have a donation jar set out at the registration table. The QUAD will be matching whatever donations that are collected at these events and donating them to the Malesiewski/Reid family to help with medical expenses.
